"I STARTED COLLECTING
CLOTHING TAGS SOMEWHERE BETWEEN MIDDLE AND
HIGH SCHOOL."
About Me.
BA Graphic Design and Media Arts
I started collecting clothing tags somewhere between middle and high school. That's right, the branded ones most people throw out. I started to view these tags as mini canvases, too beautiful to throw into the trash. I didn't know it at the time, but these clothing tags were my introduction to brand identity and typography.

I live in New York City, where I've worked in several industries including performing arts, real estate, and theatre, playing a key role in rebranding initiatives for Circle in the Square Theatre School. I am inspired by

designer Paula Scher and painter Edgar Degas, two individuals who understand the need to create with their hands. I enjoy integrating sketching and other means of visual art into my graphic design process. Individuals call me detail-oriented, resilient, and relentless.

My mission is to tell visually engaging stories and strengthen brand identity through minimalistic visual storytelling. By embracing identity, I create unique yet specific solutions to design challenges. Behind every brand there is a story to be told.

Book Jacket Design 1
Photoshop, InDesign
I
The objective was to design a memorable book jacket that appeals to the target audience (women age 28-40 who love woman’s fiction) and encapsulates the essence of the novels themes: It's easy yet destructive to hold on to secrets. I drew inspiration from The Secret Garden, focusing on a garden door and its ability shield and reveal information. The juxtaposition of the lush green garden and the dying rose highlight the crossroads the two main characters face.

Book Jacket Design 2
InDesign, Photoshop
Option two for the fan fiction novel Secrets We Hold Dear this book jacket appeals to readers of women’s fiction and encapsulates the essence of the novels plot: What happens when characters hold on to secrets? This cover design features muted colors and a purple back to emphasize concepts of trust and loyalty. The image emphasizes a key (no pun intended) point of conflict in the novel.

Magazine Ad
InDesign
This full-page magazine spread alerts readers to a new meal kit delivery service and solves millennials need for quick but healthy meals options to support their busy lives! I incorporated imagery that will entice the sense of taste and highlighted the sustainability initiatives with colorful seeds. This design follows the brand style guidelines for color, shape, and typography.

Figure Ground Reversal
Illustrator
The objective of this project was to visually interpret the word “mix” and incorporate two randomly assigned objects. My objects were eyedrops and lipstick. After a series of mind maps, I focused on the phrase “mixed up” and its relationship to figure-ground reversal. What do you see? White eyedrops and white lipstick or black lipstick and black eyedrops?
